How we handle business data in the Tourist Business Directory.
What data do we collect?
The Tourist Business Directory collects the following information about businesses, all sourced from publicly available records:
- Business name
- Address and location
- Phone number
- Email address
- Website URL
- Social media links
- Photos available in public listings
- Google ratings and review counts
All data is sourced from public directories (primarily Google Places) and enriched using AI to improve accuracy and completeness.
Legal basis
The Tourist Business Directory is operated by Aurum Transfers Limited. We process business data under the legitimate interest provision of the Jamaica Data Protection Act 2020. Businesses benefit from increased visibility to potential clients, and visitors benefit from a comprehensive, accurate directory. No personal (non-business) data is collected or processed.

How to opt out
If you'd like your business removed from the directory, you have two options:
Option 1: Email
Send an email to info@aurum-transfers.com with the subject line “Directory Opt-Out” and include your business name.
Option 2: WhatsApp
Reply STOP to any WhatsApp message you receive from us.
Data retention
Active listings are retained indefinitely to provide ongoing visibility for businesses. Upon receiving a valid opt-out request, we will remove the listing and all associated data within 7 business days.
